The BEST Basic Formation for Catechists and School Religion Teachers Is Here!
Echoes of Faith Plus is a video-assisted program offering comprehensive basic catechist formation. The bestselling program has been updated and expanded to integrate the key teachings of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the General Directory of Catechesis, and the National Directory for Catechesis.
The three sets follow the categories for catechist formation described in the General Directory for Catechesis: being, knowing, and savoir-faire (GDC 238):
• Catechist Set (three modules)
Being: Who am I as a catechist and as a disciple of Jesus Christ?
• Theology Set (five modules)
Knowing: What do I teach?
• Methodology Set (five modules)
Savoir-faire: How do I teach?
Every module provides a DVD with the video segments of the meeting design and a participant booklet with a comprehensive learning design that begins with a NEW process for spiritual formation. An integrated CD-ROM provided in each booklet makes it easy to make up a missed session, or to complete an independent study of the topic on a home computer.

The Echoes of Faith Plus Process Is As Easy As 1, 2, 3!
The Echoes of Faith Plus learning design incorporates print, DVD, CD-ROM, and the Internet to convey image, story, information, and a process of faith sharing. Catechists renew their own faith and develop skills to become effective catechetical ministers. Adults follow this simple three-step process:
1. Engage: The process begins in the booklet where catechists:
• Begin with a process of spiritual reflection
• Activate their prior knowledge of module content
• Learn the goals and objectives for the module
2. Explore: The booklet guides the catechist through a process of reflection on the four segments of the module content offering background, resources, and skills catechists need to be confident and competent.
3. Apply: Catechists summarize what they have learned and apply it to a practical situation.
